About this website

This website was set up as part of a 2nd year project at the University of Hull. The project consisted of researching and reporting on an internet realted issue, such as; the security issues for a range of ages, the role of the internet, issues with e-commerce.

We decided to choose a topic that would give us a bit of a challenge, but which we also thought was quite intresting - the digital divide.

So, what exactly is the digital divide?

Introduction

The digital divide is a relatively new term, but in today’s society it is becoming increasing apparent. This report investigates the implications caused by the digital divide, giving a clear explanation of the digital divide, the statistics concerned, as well as possible solutions to tackling these issues concerned with the divide.
